How CHATFOURMI is produced

CHATFOURMI is a small, family-run business. Every production cycle is conducted in our own jewelry studio. We use the most advanced jewellery machines that make our life easier and increase the quality of our products: professional modelling and printing equipment, casting, tumbling and polishing, laser welding, galvanic plating etc...
Yet we understand and value our true professionals who design our models, craft them and always give our products the final touch that make them priceless for their future owners.

We are open and transparent on what we do and how we do it. If you have more questions, please contact us. More information on our instagram.

Below you'll find brief info about our production

Silver 99.99%

1. For production, we use refined recycled silver with a fineness of 999.9 and high-quality Italian alloy. This results in silver with a fineness of 925. Silver refining is a specially developed technology for removing impurities from metal. The result of this process is a material in its pure form that can be used to create various jewelry items. In jewelry making, alloying is used to improve the physical properties of precious metals, increasing their strength and changing their color tone..

Master models

2. Printing and crafting a master model. To create a master model in our jewelry production process, we first build a 3D model using specialized software. Next, we print the model using a 3D printer and a special polymer material. We carefully check the printed model for any imperfections, and if everything is perfect, we proceed to cast our master model. Our skilled craftsman then manually refine the cast product to achieve perfection. The master model is a crucial step in our jewelry-making process, and our highly qualified crafstman can spend anywhere from a day to several days refining the model by hand to ensure it is flawless.

Waxing and Casting

3. Making rubber moulds, waxing and creating a wax tree, preparing a flask

After creating the master model, we then making a rubber mould from it. Our artisan then injects special jeweler's wax into the mould, creates a wax tree and prepares a flask using a special investment powder. The wax is then burned out in a special oven for about 15 hours, with temperatures reaching up to 740 degrees Celsius. This process, known as lost-wax casting, results in a high-quality metal casting that accurately reproduces the details of the original wax model.

Melting

4. Melting and casting of precious metals are carried out on professional equipment, allowing us to obtain higher quality products.

Assembly

5. Assembly is performed by experienced specialists using professional tools from leading Swiss, German, and Italian manufacturers. This is one of the most labor-intensive and responsible stages in the production of jewellery where details are connected to each other, stones are attached etc.. All work is done manually, and some work is done using a laser machine, a microscope and other professional tools.

Polishing

6. We use professional grinding and polishing equipment from Germany and Poland. Grinding and polishing is the process of finishing items using different fillers and chemical compounds in machines. This stage could take up to 2 full days.

Silver hardening

7. Silver hardening is a process in which silverware is heated to a certain temperature, then quickly cooled and then heated again with a constant temperature for some time to increase its strength and hardness. Here are a few advantages of silver hardening:
- Increased hardness: hardened silver has greater hardness than unhardened silver. This makes it less susceptible to scratches, wear and damage.
- Improved toughness: hardened silver is stronger and more resistant to tearing. This means that hardened silver products will last longer and are less susceptible to damage.
- Increased corrosion resistance. hardened silver is less susceptible to corrosion than non-hardened silver. That means that products made of hardened silver will be less prone to staining and tarnishing.
- Improved appearance: hardened silver has a brighter and shinier appearance, which can make products more attractive.
- Increased wear resistance: hardened silver is more resistant to wear and tear, which means items will be less prone to scuffing and damage

Final polishing

8. Soft abrasive polishing, including felt, is done by an experienced master who brings the product to perfection. It's one of the essential stages before plating.

Plating and a final touch

9. During the electroplating process, we pay close attention to the thickness and evenness of the coating to ensure the durability and longevity of our jewelry. The plated metals not only add a layer of protection but also enhance the overall appearance of the piece, creating a luxurious and high-end look.We use high-quality electroplating coating from Italy - rhodium, platinum, gold plating, and various lacquers. In addition to the traditional plating options, we also experiment with unique finishes and textures, such as matte, hammered finishes, and colour lacquers to add an extra dimension of interest to our designs. We take pride in our electroplating process, which is a true testament to our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Our goal is to provide our customers with jewelry that not only looks beautiful but also withstands the test of time
